Topic: Unlocking the Full Potential of Batteries, Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers with EIS Testing

Presented by: Ravi Shukla, President & CEO - Gantner Instruments Americas

Ravi holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He has 18 years' experience in the Test & measurement industry serving various industries including aerospace structural and fatigue testing, automative vehicle testing and simulation, battery development/test, along with Data Acquisition product development.

Sponsored by: Stress Analysis Services - Samantha Althoff

Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) is a sophisticated diagnostic method examining the complex internal chemistries of batteries, fuel cells, and electrolyzers by measuring electrical fluctuations defining electrochemical systems’ operational health and efficiency, supporting developmental research and maintenance. EIS analyzes the dynamic responses of these systems by applying sinusoidal signals and monitoring the resultant electrical behaviors, thus revealing processes invisible to direct current evaluations. Through detailed analysis of resistance and reactance in these systems, EIS aids in preserving electrode integrity and forecasting future performance, thus minimizing risks and improving the reliability of electrochemical energy storage and generation across various applications, from small-scale laboratory tests to large industrial implementations.

In this presentation we will be discussing the benefits of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy including:

·     In-depth Battery Health Insights

·     Non-Invasive Analysis

·     Comprehensive Impedance Breakdown

·     Predictive Maintenance

·     Cross-Application Versatility

·     How ESI works including measurement and data processing steps

Room B

Topic: Top Items to Consider When Selecting The Right Test Chamber and Battery Test Chamber Overview

Presented by: Lesley Rummel – Regional Account Manager for Cincinnati Sub Zero.  With over 25 years of experience in an ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory, Lesley has excelled in various roles including inside sales, outside sales and quality management.  Her deep understanding of quality standards and customer relations has been instrumental in enhancing lab operations and client satisfaction.

Sponsored by: RDP Corporation

The presentation will include chamber decisions like types of chambers or tests, defining your test application, performance criteria, cooling methods, humidification options, and air flow and construction differences.  Types of loads, cooling options, and methods of humidity generation will also be covered.

A portion of the presentation will center on battery testing including EUCAR and mitigating risks when testing hazardous materials.  This will include inherent dangers present in LI battery tests and chamber safety options.
